About CDO2

Quantum Current Density Imaging Technology

Our Company

CDO2 Limited was founded in 2004 to develop complex financial risk analysis software through pioneering cloud computing technologies. Since 2017, we have been developing innovative quantum current density imaging technology for battery monitoring and analysis.

In 2023 we created CDO2 Germany, to serve customers across Europe and benefit from the quantum ecosystem in Lower Saxony. We specialize in providing non-invasive, real-time insights into battery performance, safety, and longevity using advanced quantum sensing technology.

Our Technology

CDO2's quantum current density imaging technology uses sensitive magnetometer readings to visualize and monitor the current flow within battery cells and packs. This non-invasive technique can be applied across the entire battery lifecycle:

  • Battery Cell Research & Development: Detailed current density mapping to identify design improvements and validate new cell architectures
  • Self Discharge Detection: Quantum analysis of self-discharge phenomena and capacity loss in battery cells
  • Busbar Weld Condition Monitoring: Detection of weld defects, resistance variations, and connection issues
  • Interim & Second-Life Battery Inspection: Assessment of battery health and capacity for reuse applications
  • Deep Discharge Verification: Safe discharge monitoring to prevent thermal runaway during recycling
